Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • HERA is a comprehensive programme teaching the essentials of gym training. A high level of detail is placed on exercise execution, programming, nutrition and other health considerations to ensure you can integrate gym training into your life confidently beyond HERA. You will learn more than what is generally covered in a personal training session or group fitness class.

  • Introductory Course: There are no prerequisite fitness requirements to start the Introductory Course. In fact, first-time gym goers’ are encouraged to start their exercise journeys here. All exercises are stripped back to basics to ensure the fundamentals are learnt and executed perfectly, before progressing to harder variations as confidence and strength improves.

HERA Squad: This is an ongoing gym programme for women who have some experience in the gym already. Gals should have some experience squatting, benching and deadlifting with barbells.

You will receive a complimentary gym membership to Studio41 for the duration of the Introductory Course. Going to the gym on your own is part of the journey to being confident in the gym.

NB: You may like to pause other gym memberships during this time.

  • That is awesome! I love to hear of women already training! If you’re considering HERA, then I suspect you’re not getting the results you want from your current programme, and you’re looking for further gym education? Sounds like HERA is perfect for you.

There is something for everyone to learn, regardless of your previous gym experience.

  • A great question, and one of the most frequently asked!

Sneakers you already wear for walking or running, or flat shoes such as Converse, are perfect. You will actually take your shoes off during the first session and may decide you’d like to train without shoes for the remainder of the programme!

  • Yes, please tell your friends and come together!

Remember HERA is a fun, welcoming and safe community. Most women sign up individually and have five new gal-pals by the end of the first session.
